About

Heather Day- Owner

Hi I’m Heather Day, founder of Heather Day Designs, and I’m a fiber artist. Ever since I was 8 years old, I would cut up my old clothes and rework them into one-of-a-kind pieces. Now I continue that passion and embellish preloved jackets and rework quilts, sweaters, jeans and other thrifted textiles into bags, hats, wall art, and all types of garments. I also have a passion for nature and am a licensed collaborator with the Anderson Design Group where I create wall art, bags, garment pieces and more. Another way I show my love for nature is by saving as much textiles from the landfill by thrifting most of my materials, even garments that even have holes or stains in them and work around the flaws and bring it back to life. I like to advocate and vocalize the harms and dangers that the fast fashion industry plays in our global environment and human rights as well. By supporting my business, you are not only supporting a mother of three, but you are supporting my message behind my business. Upcycled, reworked fashion doesn’t have to look cheap.
