Heather, the owner of Heather Day Designs, repurposes materials and revives them into fashion statement pieces. Her passion started when she was 8 years old where she would cut up & sew on her old clothes that would've otherwise been donated. She loved designing new shirts by cutting off sleeves from one shirt and sewing them onto another. Although she was primarily self-taught in sewing, Heather would take any and all sewing classes and courses that were available; she was even accepted early to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise (FIDM) when she was a Junior in High School. At the age of 20, Heather designed and sewed her sister's wedding dress from scratch.

Fastforward to now, Heather is Jayna's personal assistant and seamstress at The Dress bridal boutique in Santa Barbara, CA. She started Heather Day Designs to continue her passion in slowing down the fashion industry with high-quality, sustainable garments, which is ultimately allowing her to channel her creative 8-year-old self.
